  • Pioneer School: Gr. K-6

    Thrill your child with time travel to a classroom in a real Pioneer School taught as it was in the 1870s. All six grades are taught together in this one room schoolhouse at the Princeton Depot. Kids ages 6 to 12 learn together at the same time with no electronics. Spelling bees, jump rope and real learning occur in this Pioneer School. Kids love the small classroom of 15 students. Bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. Kids may dress in pioneer style clothing. For questions, call Barry Schreiber at 763-607-3195.
  • Weeklong Horse Day Camp: Ages 6-15

    Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, grooming and caring for the horses (including bathing), and feeding them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes up about one hour per day in an arena (no trails) and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. At the end of the week on Friday, parents and family are invited to a performance at 1:30pm to see what their camper has been learning! This is a great time to take pictures, watch your child ride, and meet their horse they worked with during the week Campers need to bring a lunch, snacks, and plenty to drink. Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn ● No flip flops ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena.     Join Ashley Messer with Creative Studio 23 for a 3-day Summer Art Camp! On Day 1 we will focus on drawing and dry art materials with colored pencils, markers, oil pastels, and chalk pastels. On Day 2 we will focus on mixed media and collage art with dry art materials and watercolor paint. On Day 3 we will focus mainly on acrylic painting techniques on paper and on canvas. Students will learn about color theory, experiment with a variety of fun art materials, and have a chance to get 1 on 1 learning with a professional artist.
  • Down on the Farm: Families of Children Birth-Gr. 2

    Back by popular demand! This is a local farm experience like no other! If you have young kids that love tractors, farm animals, and farms, you will not want to miss this opportunity. Join us for a fun morning out visiting some of our local farms. This is for families of children birth to grade 2. Each week, we will visit one to two farms in our area to learn more about what they do on their farm. Each stop will have a tour and small activity for the kids. But that's not all! You can also stay to enjoy a picnic lunch on the farm after the farm visits. Bring a bag lunch and a blanket for you and your family, but keep in mind that what you bring in will also need to be brought out. We will not be leaving any waste at the farms. Some farms will have an additional cost for the activities and are indicated below. Some farms will also have goods they sell, so keep that in mind on your visits. Please wear comfortable, closed toe shoes for walking all terrains, and strollers and wagons are welcome. These are all active farms, so remember that if you have an allergy, please come prepared, including bees and other bugs. Sign up for one or for all farm visits!     Join Ashley Messer with Creative Studio 23 for Pre-K Summer Art Exploration classes! Day 1 we will explore drawing and dry art materials with colored pencils, markers, and chalk pastels. Day 2 we will focus on watercolor painting and experimental watercolor techniques. Day 3 we will create with mixed media and collage art with dry art materials and watercolor paint. Day 4 we will dive into modeling clay and acrylic painting techniques on paper and on canvas. Students will learn about color theory, experiment with a variety of fun art materials and have a chance to get 1 on 1 learning with a professional artist. Parents are highly encouraged to stay for the first day, with optional parent attendance on days 2-4. If your child is more comfortable with you attending each class, then please feel free to stay.
  • Nos divertimos en español. "Let's have FUN in Spanish": Gr. 1-2 in Spanish Immersion Program

    Let's have FUN in Spanish while doing art projects and playing all together! In this week long camp, students will review their Spanish-speaking skills by playing games, singing songs, and doing fun vocabulary, reading, and writing exercises designed to review what they already know. These Spanish camps are for entering Grades 1-2 students who are a part of the Princeton Public Schools Spanish Immersion Program. Families can sign up for one or both weeks as the curriculum and teachers are different.

    VEX IQ Robotics Summer Camp: Gr. 3-5

    Each day students will learn and apply different robotics and STEM skills, including but not limited to designing and building robots and other mechanical parts, learning the basics of scratch programming languages, learning the engineering design process, documenting building processes, and completing challenges with their creations! Along with these skills, students will develop teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. During the last two days of robotics camp students will combine all the skills they have learned to compete in a grande finale challenge and compete for a fun prize!

    Robotics: Star Wars Droid Builder: Gr 1-5

    Bring Star Wars-inspired inventions to life with the Star Wars LEGO® Mindstorms Robotics Developer Kit. We will start with a simple droid mechanism, then move on to more ambitious droids that move and walk. This modular building system allows students to build using subassemblies, making it easy to create and customize robotic droids. All these great robotic inventions are powered by the Micro Scout, the smallest LEGO® microcomputer, equipped with a light sensor and six robotic programs to control our droid creations. Possible models include Droid Vehicle, Trainer Droids, our version of R2-D2, and more! We will experiment with robotic programs that avoid light, seek light, are controlled by lights, act as alarms, and more. Please bring a nut-free lunch and a labeled water bottle to this Friday camp.
  • Drone Racing: Gr. 3-9

    Students will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they will assemble their very own drone. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. The drones used in camps have cameras, and are perfect for entry level pilots. Students can choose to bring their drone home for an additional $55 due at registration. The drones retail for ~$100.

    Multiplayer Minecraft: Survival Challenge: Gr. 1-5

    Survival Camp in Minecraft: Team up and survive in our multiplayer world. Explore the unknown and join other Survival enthusiasts to overcome challenges, complete quests on our server. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Bring a USB drive to save your games. Please bring a nut-free lunch and a labeled water bottle to this Friday camp.
  • Farm Camp: Gr. K+

    Come experience life on the farm! We will start the day off completing morning chores together, then spend time playing with the animals, picking eggs, doing fun group activities, and having time to just be free range kids! Camp will take place at The 100 Acre Homestead in Princeton, and participants will need to be dropped off and picked up there.
  • Painting with Threads: Gr. 1-5

    In this class we will explore a new approach to mixed media by using paints to create beautiful designs and then embroider the canvas! Child-safe sewing needles will be used.
  • Pokémon Art: Gr. 2-6

    In this class you will learn how to draw your favorite Pokémon characters and then bring each one to life using paints, watercolors, and colored pencils. We will design Pokémon cards as well - how cool!
  • Eureka Engineering: Gr. 3-9

    Eureka Engineering introduces students to the core skills of robotics and STEM through engaging, hands-on learning opportunities. Student groups will work with Lego Mindstorm kits, which include both electrical and mechanical components. The small groups will be mentored by experienced and passionate instructors. Parents are welcome to watch their child’s robotic creations come to life in exciting and competitive challenges including drag racing, fighting robots, and more!

Whatever students don't make in class, they can take home to finish! Bracelet colors are cream, coral, and gold.

    Our kitchens can be an amazing science lab. Join Science Explorers as we experiment with kitchen ingredients to learn about solids, liquids, and gases. Be sure to dress so you can get messy. Note: Corn, wheat and dairy may be used, but not consumed.

    Join Science Explorers as we investigate a wizard’s laboratory. You will become an apprentice as you learn the science behind the magic. Explore the secret world of alchemy as you create scientific potions, harness electricity to build your own wand, and more in this fun, hands-on imaginative class.
  • RC Wars: Gr. 4-10

    In RC Wars, teams of students will build their own Remote Control vehicles to race and battle against other teams. Students will need to design their vehicles to not only be faster and stronger than other teams’ creations, but also better than purchased RC Cars and Drones! RC Wars will feature land and air races, obstacle courses, and more as students learn mechanical and electrical building skills in an energetic and exciting environment. Students can choose to bring their drone home for an additional $55 due at registration. The drones retail for ~$100.
  • AeroCode Academy: Gr. 3-9

    AeroCode Academy is the most exciting way for students to learn how to program! Using block based programming tools to command their drones, students will sharpen their skills and take to the skies. By starting out with guided tutorials, students of all skill levels will find success before implementing their own custom programs. Teams of students will battle their drones in fun and exciting challenges that will teach them valuable 21st century programming skills, as well as teamwork and collaboration. Students can choose to bring their drone home for an additional $110 due at registration. The drones retail for $215.
