Bring your own machine (it's great to learn on the actual machine you will be using at home) or we can provide one for you. Bring your own items to hem or alter, if desired. In this fast-paced session, you will learn how to: find ideas, sources, and more than 1,000 opportunities that pay, conduct interviews and create interesting content, protect your copyright, write query letters, and then use this credibility to sell other articles or even your self published novel. Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee. The instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former journalist, current author and editor, and a nationwide Professor of Publishing at higher learning institutions, including Harvard Adult Education.   • VEX IQ Robotics Try-It Day: Gr. 3-5

    In the 2025-26 school year, we will be offering two robotics programs: a competitive VEX IQ program for those interested in going to tournaments and competition, and an entry-level robotics club for those interested in learning more or those uninterested in tournaments and competition. During this Try-It Day, students in Gr. 3-5 can get a sneak peak of the 2025-26 VEX Robotics game to see if the Competitive Teams are for them, or if the Robotics Club would be a better fit. Pre-registration required for the Try-It Day due to coaching ratios. Please note: Priority for Competitive Teams will be given to 4th and 5th graders first. Upon coaches approval at the Try-It Day, 3rd graders may be able to join.

You will understand how it works exactly and why it is taking the world by storm. You will also learn practical everyday uses for ChatGPT in the workforce and at home. Don't get left behind in today's tech savvy world, and attend this upcoming training! The fun and interactive class is taught live online. If a student is unable to attend the live online training time, they can still register and watch the recording of the training at their convenience. Follow-up support is also included from the instructor and students are encouraged to reach out with questions at any time before or after the class has concluded.
  • Cat Tree Making Workshop: Volunteer Opportunity: Age 14-Adult

    Come learn how to make cat trees for Ruff Start Rescue! We average 500-600 animals a month in rescue, half of them being cats. Having scratchers available for our foster cats is great enrichment and helps prevent boredom or furniture destruction! All materials will be provided. All cat trees will be used for the rescue. Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit companion animal rescue located in Princeton, MN.
