    ECFE Around Town – Fall 2025 3 Sessions Dates: Mondays Time: 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM Open to all – no sign-up limit! Join us this spring for our ECFE Around Town adventures—where learning comes to life in our community! These low-cost family-friendly outings are designed for young children and their caregivers to explore local places, meet friendly faces, and learn through hands-on experiences. Each week features a new location and experience, including: September 29 – Meet the Mechanic at Q Star Auto Repair Q Star Auto Repair – 31310 125 1/2 St. NW #6, Princeton Come meet the mechanic and see how cars and trucks are taken care of! Families will explore the shop, watch how the car lift works, check out tools, and more. The shop has a fun surprise waiting for you too! ? Arrive on site at 10:45am for this interactive, hands-on class that kids and parents will both love. October 27 – Handy Helpers at Marv’s Hardware Marv’s Hardware Store – 316 Rum River Dr. S, Princeton Discover all the neat tools and gadgets that help people fix and build things at home. Families will learn what different tools are used for, peek behind the scenes, and see how a hardware store keeps our community running. ? Arrive on site at 10:45am to meet the friendly staff and enjoy this fun, educational visit. November 10 – Community Heroes: Police & Fire - Class is Pending. - Please register but this class might be modified or changed. Princeton Police Department & Fire Station Meet some of our community’s real-life heroes! Families will tour both the police and fire stations, see inside a police car, explore fire trucks, and learn about safety in fun, kid-friendly ways. ? Arrive on site at 10:45am for this exciting class that will inspire pride and curiosity in kids and parents alike. Whether you join us for one stop or all three, these outings are a great way to connect, explore, and learn together. Come ready for fun and discovery! Cost is per family.

    Come have lots of fun with your toddler in this ECFE class for one and two year olds! We will provide lots of movement activities to keep your active toddler busy! Families will stay together for the entire period; playing and exploring together for the first half of class, then while the children continue to socialize with their new friends, the parents/ caregivers will have an engaging parent discussion time for the second half of class with their teacher. Sibling care is available with a charge.

  • Hands on Fun!

    Children will enjoy exploring a variety of art experiences in this class for 1.5 to K entrance. Are you looking for a little something extra to do with your child? Come join us in this engaging new ECFE class where we will be "hands on" Each week there will be fun new things to experience! We will be exploring nature items, different textures, and our senses. We will be creating art, building, moving our bodies and so much more! We will end with a circle time of singing, making music, & doing a large motor activity together! Sibling care is available with a charge.
  • Mixed Age Class Separating

    Time for you and your child/ren to interact and learn together and also time for parents/caregivers to meet with other parents and a parent educator. These classes will begin as non-separating and change to separating when/of parents choose to do so. Monday: The Monday class participants have decided they will be separating for this session each time starting at the beginning of the session. Thursday: The Thursday class participants will be deciding if and when they want to separate. Fees: Fees are for one child and parent(s). For multiple children, please register each child and use discount code on each registration.

Princeton Early Childhood is excited to partner with local businesses to bring families together for free, engaging story time experiences! These multi-age story times are perfect for families with young children from birth through kindergarten, at nearby local business. Come connect with other families and celebrate our community through stories and fun activities. We look forward to seeing you there. Registration not required.

    Rain or shine. Each session will include a nature walk and exploration. Bring strollers if needed & dress for the weather and outdoor fun: tennis shoes, jackets, Some of the trails will be gravel/ dirt and uneven. We will meet at various outdoor locations/parks and learn how to be “scientists”- kid-style. Nature-time is an awesome time to help children learn to think and observe. The “Project Learning Tree” curriculum and other nature-based hands-on activities will be included each time we gather. Come play and learn! (Sign up for one or all of the Nature Classes.)

    What are Home Visits? Our licensed Parent Educators are experienced professionals dedicated to helping families prepare for school success. Whether you’re new to the community or a longtime resident, we’re here to provide engaging learning experiences designed just for you and your child. Home visits are flexible and tailored to your family's needs. We can meet in your home or at our ECFE center for one-on-one visits. Each visit includes fun, age-appropriate activities and time to discuss parenting topics, child development, and community resources. What Can Home Visits Include? Interactive parent-child activities A customized family plan to support your child’s growth Developmental assessments to track progress Community resources and referrals Q&A time to discuss parenting topics Princeton Tigers Early Connections with ECFE is free for families within ISD 477.     For parents and their 2 and 3 year olds. Come together for learning activities, singing, and fun! Then, join other parents to discuss current parenting issues. At separation time the children will enjoy a healthy snack followed by more playtime and ending with a circle time of singing and dancing. Sibling care is available with a charge.

    Planned by the Parent Early Childhood Advisory Council Proceeds go back to Parent Early Childhood Advisory to plan more free and low cost events for young children in our community. Princeton Light Up Event (Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds) will be open this Monday night from 6:00 - 9:00PM. Early Childhood will receive 50% of the donations this night. You can come to the party anytime from 4:00 - 7:00PM. Story time with an Elf Christmas Songs Decorating Cookies Visit with Santa 4:00 - 6:00 PM $5 per child or $10 per child to include the Gift Making and Wrapping Late Registrations after 3:00PM on 12/3 will be $10 per child or $16 to include Gift Making and Wrapping

    You and Me Baby

    Parents and infants explore the world in a unique and positive way. Enjoy activities in the areas of movement, sensory experience, music and exercise. Parents learn about their baby's emotional, social and physical development through discussions focused on the interests of the group. Parents and infants do not separate in this class. This is a great way to try out ECFE and meet other parents with infants.
