  • Middle School Early Risers: Gr. 6-8

    What is the Early Risers Program? The Princeton Middle School Early Risers Program provides supervised structured time from 7:00-8:15am for students needing a positive head start to their day. Students attending Early Risers will be provided an opportunity to eat breakfast, work on school assignments, read, organize and plan their daily schedule, or exercise/move prior to their school day. Who Would Benefit from the Early Risers Program? Students may need additional time before school for a variety of reasons. Our goal is to support those seeking a quiet work space in the morning with dependable school Wi-Fi as well as those affected by the tiered busing/varied start times in the Princeton School District.
  • Animal Welfare 101: Caring for Creatures Big and Small: Gr. 3-5

    Get ready to explore the world of animal care and compassion in partnership with Ruff Start Rescue staff! In this three-part class, students will dive into the basics of animal welfare through fun, hands-on learning. Each session highlights a different way we can help animals live their best lives: Session 1 Enrichment, Session 2 Nutrition & Habitat, and Session 3 Veterinary Care. This course builds empathy, encourages responsibility, and empowers kids to make a difference for animals at home. An animal friend will join in the fun each session as well! Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue located in Princeton, MN. This class cost is lowered to only $15 thanks to our sponsor: Country Pup Kennel!
  • Horse Day Camp: Ages 6-15

    Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders. Campers need to bring a lunch, snacks, and plenty to drink. Drop off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn ● No flip flops ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena.   • Basic Automotive Maintenance: Ages 14.5-Adult

    Elite Autocare of Princeton will teach you to perform basic tasks in an emergency like how to change a flat tire or jump a dead battery. In addition, you will learn basic car maintenance to prevent unnecessary repairs in the long run whether doing it yourself or working with a shop. This class is perfect for those just learning to drive or any one looking to learn new auto skills!

    Learn the science of cooking and discover how everyday ingredients are actually chemicals that react to create the delicious food you love. Taste your results—if you dare!
  • Online: Video Game Design: Platformer: Gr. 3-7

    Develop engaging gameplay, experiment with different power-ups, enemies, and boss battles to make your game more exciting and fun! In this class students will learn to create their own platform game, using Construct 3, a visual coding platform that teaches students the basics and structure of programming. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT work. Internet: Broadband internet Webcam, Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer, zoom link will be sent before class. Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse, and keyboard.     Enjoy making fun, not too spooky crafts for Halloween! Come have fun as we make some projects with bats, ghosts, spiders, and more.
  • CE Scholarship Fundraiser: Family Pizza and Bingo Night: All Ages

    Princeton Community Ed is committed to removing financial barriers so all students and families can access the programming we offer. This is our second year hosting a fun Family Pizza and Bingo Night to raise money for our CE Scholarship Fund to unlock Community Ed opportunities for families who have financial need. Proceeds from this event will help individuals and families enjoy our programs. This is a family-friendly event! Sign up with your family and friends, come wearing your costumes if you'd like, and take a fun photo at our selfie station! Doors open at 6:00pm for photos, food, and to get your Bingo cards. Bingo will start at 6:30pm. The $15 registration fee covers 1 slice of pizza (gluten free available), 1 beverage (bottled water, juice, or soda) and 1 Bingo card which will cover all rounds. You will be able to switch out your card between rounds if you wish. We will play a minimum of five rounds. A preschool-aged Bingo will also be available for younger kids. Prizes will be awarded to all Bingo winners! Please bring extra cash if you'd like to: Play more than one card at a time. $5/additional card (good for the whole night) Buy concessions. Items range from $1-$3. Buy raffle tickets for a chance to win larger prizes. Raffle tickets are $1/ticket. Pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough space and pizza.   • My Little Horse Camp: Ages 2-5

    Campers will get to ride a real horse in an arena, meet a number of different horses at Boulder Pointe, and learn how to groom the horses . . . all with a focus on safety! In addition, students will do an art project and have an opportunity to make horse treats to feed their new friends. Stations are split into 15-minute intervals to keep everyone engaged. Parents have the opportunity to lead their child on the horse and take photographs as they go. A parent/guardian must remain with children at all times.   • Sewing Club: Create, Stitch, and Style: Gr. 6-12

    Join the Sewing Club and learn how to bring your creative ideas to life with fabric and thread! In this fun and relaxed club, students will build beginner sewing skills while working on simple, hands-on projects, starting with designing and sewing their very own bag. Along the way, they’ll learn how to use a sewing machine, read basic patterns, and explore different fabrics and techniques. No experience needed. All supplies are included. Come to create, learn, and make new friends who love crafting just like you!
  • VEX IQ Robotics Club: Gr. 3-5

    In this introductory club, students will explore the engineering design process using VEX Robotics equipment! Students will work in pairs to build and design a robot that can complete different tasks. Students will be encouraged to document the engineer design process in a journal.
  • Winter Art Wonderland: Gr. 1-5

    In this class you will learn how to create winter-inspired art using various mediums. Together we will make a snow angel mouse painting, a colorful snowman globe watercolor, candy people with their candy corn holiday tree, and more! Glitter, gems, and pompoms will be provided to each artist to decorate their masterpieces. Note: Projects are different than last year, so be sure to sign up again!
  • Kids in the Kitchen: Gr. 6-8

    Get ready to stir, mix, and create! In this hands-on class, young chefs will learn basic cooking skills while making fun and tasty recipes they can recreate at home. From measuring ingredients and following directions to kitchen safety and cleanup, kids will gain confidence and independence in the kitchen.

    No prior coding experience is necessary, but experience playing Minecraft would be helpful. We will write code to summon the ender dragon, learn to use Redstone, and use command blocks to make automated machines in Minecraft: Java Edition. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.   • Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS): Ages 11+

    The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute provides everything you need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The students will receive their certification card and instructions to access a digital copy of the CABS student book at the end of class. Topics cover everything from getting started with your business to collaborating with parents and children, safety, safe sleep practices, caregiving, emergencies, and basic first aid. CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete the core learning objectives to receive certification, valid for two years. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen.
  • Home Alone: Ages 8+

    Is your child ready for the independence of being home alone? Parents need to be sure their children have the skills and maturity to handle the responsibility safely. Whether for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, being trusted to be home alone can be a positive experience for a mature and well-prepared child. This class for children will address several topics relating to being “Home Alone,” including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after-school routines, phone calls and door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders, and basic first aid tips. Students attend this class independently, and parents are encouraged to review the information and discuss it with their child/children after class.
  • School of Fish for All Seasons: Gr. 2+

    The ZEBCO School of Fish for All Seasons is an extension of the very popular School of Fish class which focuses totally on open water fishing. This class will cover both open water and ice fishing! The class will be 2 1/2-hours and open to kids (and adults!) from grades 2 and up taught by pro angler and Fishing the Midwest TV show host Mike Frisch. Students learn about lakes, finding fish in those lakes during all seasons, and some great ways to catch them. They also learn to tie a fishing knot and rig and use a slip-bobber setup – a setup that works equally well during ice season and open water. For that, kids get: ZEBCO Rod & Reel School of Fish Hat or T-shirt Tackle box and tackle School of Fish full color workbook One adult is invited to attend with a child at no additional charge, provided they share one equipment packet.
