Princeton Public Schools Early Childhood Advisory Council Needs You! Our Early Childhood Advisory Council is a collaborative group of dedicated individuals who offer valuable insights, advice, and suggestions to support and strengthen our early childhood programs. The council plays an essential role in promoting and helping carry out activities and projects that align with the goals of our early childhood education initiatives. As a council member, you’ll have the opportunity to: Shape and improve the quality of early childhood education in our district Help organize and participate in key events and programs for young learners Foster a supportive community for children and families Any parent with children in the Princeton Public School District is welcome to join and contribute to our shared mission of building a strong foundation for early learning. Your voice matters! How We Use the Funds We Raise At Princeton Public Schools Early Childhood, every dollar we raise goes directly toward creating future fun and enriching events for young children. These events are designed to foster learning, creativity, and community, providing engaging experiences that help our little ones grow and thrive. Your support allows us to continue hosting themed family nights, holiday celebrations, and other exciting activities that bring joy to our youngest learners.

We are excited to share that Play Therapy will now be available as an optional service for preschool students either during the school day or outside of school hours right here in our Family Center building. This is an additional, voluntary service that families may choose to participate in. Play Therapy services are billed through your insurance or can be paid privately. Our Licensed Play Therapist, Adrien Clough, MA, LMFT-S, accepts Medical Assistance (MA), Medica and Optum. She is in the process of adding HealthPartners and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you are interested in this service, please fill the form in Eleyo. After you “sign up” on the interest form, Adrien will contact you to set up a free 10 minute consultation via “google meet” or over the phone. If your family has a different insurance provider but you are interested in this service, you may: Pay out of pocket (the private pay rate is $115 per session), Fill out the interest form and see if Adrien can work with your insurance company. What Is Play Therapy? Play Therapy is a developmentally appropriate approach that uses play, the natural language of children, to help them express feelings, build coping skills, process experiences, and develop self-control and confidence. Through play, children can communicate and make sense of their world in ways that words alone often cannot. Benefits of Play Therapy may include: Improved emotional regulation and problem-solving skills Strengthened relationships and communication Reduced anxiety, aggression, or withdrawal Enhanced self-esteem and resilience Play Therapy can support children who are navigating big emotions, life transitions, family changes, anxiety, or social challenges. Meet Our Licensed Play Therapist Greetings Princeton Community, My name is Adrien Clough, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been providing therapy to children since 2013. I recently moved to the Princeton area and am eager to get involved in the community. As a mental health play therapist, I work with children and families navigating behaviors, family separation, attachment concerns, and relationships. Since getting kiddos to appointments during the school day can be a challenge, I am happy to see students right at school. This service is voluntary and completely optional for families. I will be using a space at the school to provide these services to families who may benefit from therapy. Services will be billed through your insurance, and families will be responsible for any copays. The school is not responsible for any costs associated with these services. Join us for Special Story time Events out in the community! Princeton Early Childhood is excited to partner with local businesses to bring families together for free, engaging story time experiences! These multi-age story times are perfect for families with young children from birth through kindergarten, at nearby local business. Come connect with other families and celebrate our community through stories and fun activities. We look forward to seeing you there. Registration not required.

What are Home Visits? Our licensed Parent Educators are experienced professionals dedicated to helping families prepare for school success. Whether you’re new to the community or a longtime resident, we’re here to provide engaging learning experiences designed just for you and your child. Home visits are flexible and tailored to your family's needs. We can meet in your home or at our ECFE center for one-on-one visits. Each visit includes fun, age-appropriate activities and time to discuss parenting topics, child development, and community resources. What Can Home Visits Include? Interactive parent-child activities A customized family plan to support your child’s growth Developmental assessments to track progress Community resources and referrals Q&A time to discuss parenting topics Princeton Tigers Early Connections with ECFE is free for families within ISD 477.
