  • 3-Day Horse Camp: Ages 6-15

    Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, grooming and caring for the horses (including bathing), and feeding them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about one hour per day in an arena (no trails) and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Campers need to bring a lunch, snacks, and plenty to drink. Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn ● No flip flops ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start kindergarten. Screening is required before kindergarten and recommended at 3.5 years old. Does my child need an Early Childhood Screening? YES - In order for your child to start kindergarten in any Minnesota public school, you will need to provide your child's Early Childhood Screening Summary Form and Immunization record. Is there a charge? No, Early Childhood Screening is FREE What will happen at the screening?     Before the school year starts families have a wonderful opportunity to meet some teachers from ECFE at the Family Center Playground. This event will feature enjoyable activities for everyone. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends and connect more with the teachers. If the weather is not nice and we can’t be outside don’t worry! We will move the fun inside to the gym. This way everyone can still participate in games and activities no matter what the weather is like. It’s a great time to connect with other families and start the school year on a positive note. So come on out and join us for some fun!

  • Campout Camp: Gr. 4-12

    Do you enjoy camping? Do you love the outdoors and nature? This is the class for you! Join us for a one-week long campout camp where you will learn the ins and outs of camping and get tips and tricks along the way. Some topics that students will get hands-on experience with are shelters, building fires, cooking over a campfire, canoeing, packing, and traveling. The final two days of class will put the skills you learned to the test through a hands-on river paddle and overnight camping trip. There will be both a male and female chaperone on the overnight trip if we have boys and girls enrolled. Free/reduced rates cannot apply on this summer camp.
  • Cat Tree Making Workshop: Volunteer Opportunity: Age 14-Adult

    Come learn how to make cat trees for Ruff Start Rescue! We average 500-600 animals a month in rescue, half of them being cats. Having scratchers available for our foster cats is great enrichment and helps prevent boredom or furniture destruction! All materials will be provided. All cat trees will be used for the rescue. Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit companion animal rescue located in Princeton, MN.

    In this class you will explore and create collage art! We will use colorful paper and fabric cut outs, buttons, string, and more to assemble one-of-a-kind pieces of art! Using these various materials, we will create a landscape, a flower vase, and more!

  • DASH Multi-Sport Camp Full Day: Gr. K-5

    Looking for a fun day filled with sports activities? This Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Baseball, and Flag Football. Athletes will spend roughly 1.5 hours on each sport, performing fun, instructor-led skill-based activities and games. Also included in the daily activities will be other fun games such as Kickball, Capture the Flag, Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball, and more. Athletes should bring two snacks, a lunch, and a water bottle. Free/reduced discounts cannot apply to this camp.

    DASH Sports Softball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and base running will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a softball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Softballs and bats are provided.

Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

  • Down on the Farm: Open to All

    Back by popular demand! This is a local farm experience like no other! New this year, we are opening it up to all community members to enjoy! Join us for a fun morning out visiting some of our local farms. Each stop will have a tour and small activity for the kids. Some farms will have an additional cost for the activities and are indicated below. Many of the farms will have goods they sell available, so keep that in mind on your visits. Please wear comfortable, closed toe shoes for walking all terrains, and strollers and wagons are welcome. These are all active farms, so remember that if you have an allergy, please come prepared, including bees and other bugs. Sign up for one or for all farm visits! Babies under the age of 1 are free. In case of rain, farm visits will likely be cancelled and communicated out. *Some farms have limited parking areas, so sign up early to secure your spot.   • Extreme Robo-Games: Battlebot Olympics: Gr. 3-7

    Students will work in small teams using the EV3 Mindstorms Robotic Systems and specialized LEGO® Technic™ engineering components to build extreme robots and run programs to experiment with and overcome Olympic-style challenges. Student teams will then be challenged to morph their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots. Please bring lunch and water bottle.
