    WHAT IS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING? The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start kindergarten. Screening is required before kindergarten and recommended at 3.5 years old. Does my child need an Early Childhood Screening? YES - In order for your child to start kindergarten in any Minnesota public school, you will need to provide your child's Early Childhood Screening Summary Form and Immunization record. Is there a charge? No, Early Childhood Screening is FREE What will happen at the screening? At your child's screening, a trained professional will check the following: Vision Hearing Height/Weight Immunization status Thinking, language and communication skills, large and small motor skills Social & emotional development Screenings are held at Princeton Family Center - 706 1st St, Princeton, MN 55371

  • Tiger Club

    SUMMER 2024 TIGER CLUB Summer Tiger Club will service students starting preschool through 6th grade in the 2024-25 school year. Students do NOT need to be enrolled in Hand in Hand Preschool nor Princeton Public Schools to attend summer Tiger Club. Preschoolers must be toilet trained and self-sufficient in the bathroom to attend. Due to the high volume of contracts we receive, please allow our Tiger Club staff up to three weeks to process contracts from time of registration. A confirmation email will be sent to the account holder's email if your child has been accepted into Tiger Club. Be sure your email address is spelled correctly and one that you utilize often. Please note that if you currently have an unpaid/past due balance for Tiger Club, your contract cannot be accepted until that payment is made in full first. Any accounts with unpaid balances will not be allowed to start the next season of Tiger Club until their past due balance is paid off. Location: Summer 2024 Tiger Club is located at the Intermediate School Dates: Tuesday, June 4 - Thursday, August 22 (No Tiger Club on June 3, June 19, July 4, July 5, August 23, or the week of August 26; Community Ed camps & classes may be available some of these days- stay tuned!) Field Trip Fee: $115/contract (charged on the first summer invoice on May 28th if your child is registered on any field trip days) Daily Fee: $37/day (must have 36+ scheduled days for summer), $41/day (fewer than 36 scheduled days for summer and drop-in rate) The field trip fee ($115/contract) will cover admission fees and transportation costs for the entire summer and is an additional cost to the daily fee. This field trip fee is a set price and you do not receive a discount or refund for any missed field trips. Please note that all staff go on the field trips. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will have a staggered start the first 2 weeks of school, so we ask that you do not select any dates between September 3-13, 2024, at this time. Please select the days you will need for the remainder of the school year from September 16, 2024 - May 29, 2025. School schedules will come out in August. We will notify you in August when you should go in to request care for the first two weeks of school. 2nd-5th grade families: when you register, please select the "2nd-5th grade" only options and select your schedule for the entire school year (September 3, 2024 - May 29, 2025).
