Youth Enrichment
Growing fruit trees and shrubs in Minnesota can be tricky with such a short growing season. The answer to that dilemma: grow native fruit trees and shrubs! We will chat about the hardy varieties that will flourish in our backyards. There are way more than most people typically think, and they can be commercially available too.
Class is held online via Zoom. A link will be sent out prior to class. Please be sure you have Zoom installed and updated for the class.
Adam Hjelm has been teaching community education and gardening classes for nearly twenty years. He is passionate about native plants and helping people green up their spaces in a variety of ways. Adam is an environmental educator, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, and Lawns to Legumes coach. In his spare time, he can be found wandering the woods, gardening in the backyard, or chasing fish on local lakes.
