  • Driver's Education: Classroom Instruction & Behind-the-Wheel: Ages 14.5-18

The $435 fee gets you 30 hours of in class training and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Class is held in person Monday-Friday for the 2 weeks. The first part of our Driver's Education process is a 30-hour class. We will focus on road rage, cell phone laws, road signs, impaired driving with drunk goggles, and antilock braking systems just to name a few. You have to be at least 14.5 years old to take the classroom portion and 15 years old to take the permit test. Make up lessons can be completed in any Princeton Community Education class or online class. Please bring a highlighter, notebook, and writing utensil to class. After passing the permit test, students will need to start the behind-the-wheel phase. Students are required to complete six hours of behind-the-wheel. The lesson is provided in three two-hour sessions with a licensed instructor from the Department of Public Safety. The student will be picked up and dropped off at Princeton High School. Detailed information about behind-the-wheel will be provided at class. Classes and training are provided by Right Away Driving School. For more information you can visit their website at rightawaydrivingschool.com Students who are 15 years old at the end of the class will have the opportunity to take the permit test in class.
